WHO WE ARE

OUR STORY

Brief history of LJCC

In February of 2005, 25 people began meeting in local homes to pray and discuss the possibility of starting a new non-denominational church in La Jolla. Worship services started in a rented church that summer, then for two years at a local hotel.

In 2007, our prayers for a permanent location were answered when God presented us with the opportunity to purchase an amazing church property in the University Town Center area of La Jolla, our current location.

From the beginning, La Jolla Community Church has been a place for imperfect people to be a part of God’s family. This is a community of gratitude and transformation, full of families who are discovering support, hope, and purpose. Our mission, vision, and values all reflect the goodness and faithfulness of God.
